Synthesiser
A Mini6410, with a 667MHz ARM11 CPU. Thankfully also with floating point. In order to make development a bit easier, the synth itself was cross-developed on Windows, meaning I now also have a nice softsynth to play with.
The synth is a combination of 6-op FM synth with low/high/band pass filtering, ring modulation, various waveforms, PWM, and some other goodies. It's in theory designed to meet the General MIDI spec, but fails slightly. Mainly as it doesn't sound anywhere near bland enough. Sadly I don't think the Derby examiners ever actually listened to it.
At some point I might tidy it up and release it here.
As I have almost no musical talent, all testing was done with old PC game music. Which means I can easily provide samples. Anyway, enjoy!
